An alumnus of IIM Calcutta and Madras School of Social work. Started his career with Brooke Bond India as a Management Trainee and became Management Personnel Manager. Later he was responsible for the entire management selections for all the Unilever Companies in India including Hindustan Lever Ltd., Brooke Bond, Ponds and Lipton based at Levers in Bombay.

Unnithan headed the HR functions of Jumbo Electronics Dubai, and later he was the Vice-President group HR of Jumbo Holdings India, which included Shaw Wallace, Dunlop India, Mather & Platt and Hindustan Dorr Oliver, among others, at Bombay. His experience in multi-national, multi-locational and multi-industry environments both in India and U.A.E has been significant.

Unnithan is certified MBTI Practitioner and did the advanced Human Process Laboratory Program of ISABS. He is currently engaged in HR Consulting and connected with a number of organizations in various roles. His association as consultant/advisor includes organizations such as Logix Micro Systems, Elite Group, Entel India, Zip Telecom, Alliance Cornhill, BASF, GMR Group, MAG India, etc.

Unnithan possesses man management and conceptual skills coupled with implementation, consulting and advisory experience. His core strengths have been in enabling transformation, coaching, training, organization structure, counseling, harmonization on mergers and acquisitions and also in the identification and management of competencies.
